Attend one of our UK graduate open days
Want to apply? Here's how it works...
Formal graduate intakes occur once a year, usually in the Autumn. Recruitment and assessment begins in the January before the autumn intake, when invitations to attend assessment days are sent out. The assessment process may extend as far as May, depending on how many graduates we are recruiting. Recruitment numbers vary each year according to business requirements.
You can apply to our graduate academy at any time, but please be aware that we do not contact graduates for our upcoming Autumn intake until the preceding January.
Or visit the Ricardo website for more information.
What our applicants have to say about the process
"...I have really been impressed by Ricardo, and the whole application process was very positive." RJ, 2015
"Thank you for considering my application. I found the assessment day both challenging and informative." MT, 2014
"I have attended a number of assessments. Ricardo's is the first where my interests and career aspirations have been considered in equal measure to the organisation's. It is refreshing!" FS, 2013.

More information about our Graduate Engineer programme
We encourage all of our graduates to support and promote the uptake of STEM subjects among students in local communities as part of their development programme. The work of our graduates makes a real difference in helping young people to see that science is fun and engineering is a cool career choice.
Women in engineering
We are particularly keen to encourage women to pursue careers in engineering, and we run a tailored mentoring programme to support women entering the field. Download a copy of our flyer to find out more about these opportunities.
Interested in an internship or summer placement?
Ricardo UK often accepts undergraduates for internships and summer placements. Please send your CV with covering letter outlining your availability to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Let us know if you are looking to gain any specific engineering experience – we may not be able to accommodate every request, but we promise to try.
