What do you look forward to at work?
I enjoy the variety of the work that I do and I look forward to seeing the results from my contribution. From planning out a marketing campaign with our experts, crafting an engaging email, scoping out a webinar series, supporting a virtual event, and analysing data on our leads and opportunities, I like putting my creativity and marketing knowledge to work.
What makes you want to stay at Ricardo?
I really like the culture and working with talented people as everyone contributes something valuable to the organisation. Some people are very technically knowledgeable, others are adept at turning facts into plans and action, while others can really inspire, engage others and rally a team around a common purpose. Also knowing that the work we do contributes to making a better future.
What’s your most recent accomplishment at work?
I planned and set up a webinar with our Energy and Sustainability Consultants in the UK and abroad to promote our knowledge and services to a targeted business audience in Japan. It was a new area of work for us and involved several logistical considerations, with promoting and delivering it in another language and timezone. Despite the initial hurdle, it’s been very satisfying to see that all the hard work is paying off and we’re getting good conversations and new work as a result.
If you had to describe Ricardo as an animal, what would it be and why?
Meerkats. But not because I’ve seen one too many adverts for a certain comparison company. I said earlier that I really like the culture, and I would describe it as cooperative and supportive. It’s demonstrated by our teamworking approach, wellbeing initiatives available in the company (e.g. mental health first aiders, employee assistance programme, flexible working) and the training opportunities available which look out for everyone.
