Cambridge Technical Centre employees


The Cambridge Technical Centre has a team of around 80 employees focusing on hybrids and battery technologies.

Our engineers are specialists in electronics, software, safety systems and are supported by colleagues in HR, finance and admin.

The social committee organises events on a regular basis and is in charge of planning the annual Christmas lunch. Cakes are provided on a weekly basis, which gives staff an informal networking opportunity.

Cambridge Technical Centre commute


The Cambridge Science Park is easily accessible from the M11, A14 and A10.

Cambridge North is the closest railway station. From there, it is a 25-minute walk to the Cambridge Technical Centre or a short ride on the guided bus route.

The journey from Cambridge city centre to the Science Park will take approximately:

  • 15 minutes by bike
  • 15-20 minutes by car
  • 20-25 minutes by bus

Cambridge Technical Centre is located on the prestigious Cambridge Science Park, which hosts many well-known, high-tech companies.

There are two gyms near the Technical Centre. One is at the Trinity Centre on the Science Park. The other is at a local college, which is a 2-minute walk away.


Just a short drive away is a large supermarket and a small local convenience store, and two sandwich vans call every day at 10.15am and 12.15pm.


There is a selection of well-known hotels in the area, and the city centre has two main shopping areas and cinemas.
